Why Swedish?  Why gluten free?


Growing up in Sweden I learned how to bake in my mother's kitchen.  Today I incorporate her recipes into my own.  They are always unique, always gluten free, and carefully prepared by my own hands. 

A healthy gluten free diet is a way of life for me and my family, ever since my daughter and I were diagnosed with Celiac.  We surely missed the buttery shortbreads, the crusty bread and just plain munching on crackers and cheese whenever we felt like it.  But most of all, we longed for cakes...birthday cakes and everyday cupcakes!  Moist and light in texture and flavor.  So, I got cracking and started experimenting with the old and tried recipes from the old country.  And voila, it worked!  My mother - 'mamma,' and grandmother - 'mormor,' would be Oh-so proud to know that their legacy lives on and are enjoyed by Swedes and Americans alike.  

That is why my baked goods are always made with  all-natural gluten free products.  I combine the perfect proportions of fiber rich flours, eggs and butter.  Eating gluten free should always taste like this.
